Festival Archive 2010

Festival was held on may 22nd, 2010 at tribeca cinemas in new york city. The screening included a wide spectrum of contemporary video art and film followed by a lively panel discussion and cocktail reception with the artists.

The screening included a wide spectrum of international contemporary video art and experimental films followed by a lively and dynamic panel discussion. The festival concluded with a reception party

Festival Panel 2010:

Panel participants include, Ross Harley, Professor and Head of the School of Media Arts, College of Fine Arts at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Ed Bowes, an SVA professor and winner of the Guggenheim Fellowship 2010, and Blake Whitman, Director of Community and Product at Vimeo. The discussion will be moderated by Bonnie Friel, a video and performance artist and instructor of media theory and production at Temple University.

The panel discussion will explore issues such as the definition of the video art and experimental film genre in the wake of the new era of the digital and internet revolution and the complex relationship between online communities dedicated to video art and experimental film versus offline spaces such as galleries, museums and film festivals.
