Based in New York City, Videoart.net serves as an international network for video art and experimental films. As a video-sharing website and online community Videoart.net has helped to democratize the relationship between artists, curators, institutions, and the public worldwide. Videoart.net attracts both art and film industry professionals by merging the avant-garde with art with film establishments. As an international network with a dynamic online community, Videoart.net has positioned itself as one of the most popular video art and experimental film websites in the world.

John G. Hanhardt, the former senior curator of film and media arts at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, talks about the Videoart.net Programs and their importance.

"A new generation has to create its new strategies to show, to represent, distribute. And I think it can happen in galleries! Outside of galleries! In museums! Outside of museums! And that is part of what I think the future holds."-John G. Hanhardt the former senior curator of film and media arts, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum-

Blake Whitman, the Director of Community and Product at Vimeo, talks about the Video Art and Experimental Film Festival 2010 and the new Partnership with videoart.net

About the festival:

The festival strives to showcase the artwork of today's most groundbreaking video artists and filmmakers, while simultaneously bringing these works to new audiences. In addition to a film screening at the prestigious Tribeca Cinemas, the event features a panel discussion lead by distinguished academics and industry professionals, followed by a reception with the filmmakers themselves. Dan Fine, video artists and creator of VideoArt.net, founded the Video Art and Experimental Film Festival in 2010 to promote the work of emerging and established artists and to facilitate dialogue between these artists, influential scholars and the audience about the future and place of video art in the digital age.

Videoart.net and Tribeca Cinemas will join forces to publicize the upcoming event and the sponsor's brand will receive high visibility on the Videoart.net website as well as at the festival itself. Help us make the Video Art and Experimental Film Festival 2011 a defining moment in democratizing the relationship between artists, curators, institutions, and the public worldwide.
