Festival Rules and Guidelines:
AGREEMENT:
Submission of your film and/or video art to "Video Art & Experimental Film Festival" (hosted by videoart.net) DOES NOT IMPLIE ANY OWNERSHIP RIGHTS BY VIDEOART.NET to the submitted content (film/video). Every video art and film submitted to "Video Art & Experimental Film festival" is done so on a NON-exclusive basis, thus you can submit your film/video to anywhere else in the world.
By submitting this form, you are stating that you have read and agreed with the guidelines of the videoart.net "Video Art & Experimental Film festival", which guarantees that all statements you have made in this document/form are true, and you certify that you own the rights to the submitted content (the film/video) and the submitted content’s each and every element, as well as the right to grant all of the authorizations, rights, and licenses described in this Agreement.
All filmmakers, artists and/or volunteers and/or participants agree to be legally bound by these rules, terms, and conditions.
Videoart.net will use the term "Content", "Videos" and or "Films" to reference any and all contents, videos, films, media, captures and materials you submit to us.
1. SUBMITTING CONTENT/VIDEOS AND FILMS
Register your video to the festival through our quick online submission form. Submissions may be updated or edited any time before the final deadline, May 15, 2011.
2. AGE REQUIREMENTS
Festival participation is only available for use by persons who are 18 years of age or older.
3. SUBMISSION FORMAT
Please submit all entries on two (2) multi-zone or Zone 1 (North America) DVDs which are playable on stand-alone DVD players. These will be used as the judging copy . Please test your burned DVDs in a stand-alone player before submitting them.
Artists/Filmmakers will be notified of acceptance via email by May 15th. We also recommended that you send or prepare in advance a projection copy (NTSC miniDV/HDV) .
Multiple entries are allowed, but each one must be on its own DVD/DV and have its own completed online entry form.
For the purposes of the "Video Art & Experimental Film Festival", films should be no longer than 30 minutes.
4. DATES AND DEADLINES
ALL of your submission entry items must be postmarked by the deadline date of May 15, 2011 in order to qualify for that deadline date, and it all must be received by Videoart.net before your content can be considered "submitted". We do not return your materials, so please do not send us your master copies. click here for more info.
5. CONTENT REQUIREMENTS
You are solely responsible and liable for the content you submit (and the consequences thereof) made under your name, user name, e-mail address, password, and your registration or profile information. The content does not reflect the views of Videoart.net or the "Video Art & Experimental Film festival". Videoart.net reserves the right, at any time, without notice and without limiting any and all other rights we may have under this terms, at law or in equity, to remove and delete your content from Videoart.net site and the festival.
Videoart.net does not screen any works that include hardcore pornography, real-life cruelty to humans or animals, illegal acts, or hateful messages.
You also agree that you will not submit any content for commercial or business purposes as it may adversely affect Videoart.net's ability to gain support from third parties who assist the continuation of the website and festival.
Videoart.net reserves the right to delete or reject any content that Videoart.net in its sole discretion deems abusive, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, and in violation of copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights. Videoart.net reserves the right to remove and take down your content without notice if any content is in violation of any of the terms or conditions of this Agreement. If Videoart.net receives notice of any claim of infringement that satisfies specific legal requirements, Videoart.net may remove content associated with such claims and will notify you in the scenario that your content is removed.
6. RIGHTS GRANTED TO VIDEOART.NET
Clips and images of submitted films/videos may be used by Videoart.net's "Video Art & Experimental Film Festival" for promotional purposes.
Videoart.net has the right to screen your film at Videoart.net Film Festival events including screenings and launches associated with the festival and otherwise.
Videoart.net has the right to use images and cut-scenes from your work for display in its festival website for promoting Videoart.net and or its festivals.
7. COPYRIGHT; CONTENT REQUIREMENT VIOLATIONS; BREACH OF AGREEMENT
If you believe any content on www.videoart.net or festival.videoart.net violates the copyright of any other party or violates the terms of this Agreement or in any other way infringes upon the rights of others, you can notify Videoart.net by emailing to info@videoart.net or festival@videoart.net.
8. OWNERSHIP
